HTC EVO 3D. The development of smartphone technology is fast and continues to grow. At this time 3D technology also has become a feature in the smart phone device or tablet pc. 3D features in smartphones first introduced by LG with LG Optimus 3D, they provide 3D technology without having to use three-dimensional glasses, this is a breakthrough because we no longer need to use 3D glasses to enjoy 3D features. Not long ago the launch of the LG Optimus 3D, HTC did not want to lose out, they issued a 3D smartphone called HTC Evo 3D (also providing 3D features without having to use three-dimensional glasses).

3D technology
3d technology has actually been known since the 19th century, Sir Charles Wheatstone stereopsis describe the process: "the mind can see three-dimensional objects, using two different images are projected on both the retina". Basically displays two images into one pile in one project. If at the beginning of using the concept of 3D stereoscopy, then 3D without glasses technology is scientifically called autostereoscopy.

If you try the HTC Evo 3D for the first time, 3D image / video can make the head a bit dizzy, because the eye not used to seeing who the perception point of view in such a way. To prevent headaches, take the point of view that feels just right and do not see a different angle again (do not often pan, tilt, tilt the phone screen in viewing pictures / videos 3D). Indeed, the 3D effect in this 3D Evo HTC phones can really be felt at all, the image can be terlihar protrudes into or even objects such as look out / protruding through the glass screen. These phones make users very unnerved.

Design

HTC Evo 3D has a great and attractive design, with a plastic material as a whole, is very different from different from the HTC Sensation, Desire HD and Nexus are Teflon-coated, but not reduce the impression of luxury.

On the front side, touch screen display along with the home button, menu, back and search the touch screen as well (not a physical button), the buttons only work when turned on. In addition there is also the front camera with 1.3MP resolution

On the left there is a microUSB port, the right side there is a shutter button for the camera and also the switch button, to change the camera mode from 2D to 3D. On this side there is also a volume button.

On the upper side there is a 3.5mm headset jack and power button.

In the back there are 2 camera and double LED flash which is framed by a red frame. On this there is also a speaker. Why there are 2 cameras? because this camera function to take pictures or video in 3 dimensions.

HTC Evo 3D has a form that can be felt a little fatter and heavier than on smart phones in general. So that when we hold it feels big and heavy. Moreover, when coupled with a protective rubber casing accessories, then the added thickness figure this phone. But this does not mean trouble, because we are in the grip of a smart phone that can take pictures and video in 3D mode.

Screen and Display Home

HTC Evo 3D has a 3D LCD display with capacitive touchscreen measures 4.3 inches, resolution 540 x 960 pixels, which can produce 16 million colors

Phone screen is quite large compared to most smart phones, which on average has a 3.5 inches to 4 inches of the screen. This big screen, can be a plus point for the HTC Evo 3D.

Although this phone has been equipped with 3D features, but this feature can only be felt for still images and video retrieval, it would be interesting when the 3D feature is also supported by the operating system, eg 3D homescreen display.

Interface

At the home screen is the HTC Sense UI which became the mainstay of the HTC. With the look of the latest HTC Sense 3.0 homescreen shaped form of display carousel, which is very beautiful when you swipe the screen.

Not to mention the features of the HTC Sense it self is quite interesting. Like for example: lock screen in HTC Sense 3.0 can now install the widget also display full screen 3D weather, weather widget on the homescreen as usual typical HTC and many are finally making a similar widgets, widgets friend stream, there is also a video editor, task manager, support for Wi-Fi printing, HTC Trace and Swipe-like text entry method.

Camera

One feature that is INCREDIBLE, is the camera. If you look at the back, it will be seen 2 pieces of camera which is usually only found a camera on the back. Why there are 2 cameras? This is one of the newest features on the HTC EVO 3D supports 3D camera feature. Supported with stereoscopic 3D camera to produce 3-dimensional image that is different from other smartphones. To view the 3D display does not require any 3D glasses.

HD Video recording support 3D. Unfortunately until now, this 3D view can not be enjoyed in other media because the file that generated images of the 3D camera are JPS format. Turning to its 2D camera, the result was very good because it has a resolution of 5 MP, 2560 x 1920 pixels, autofocus, dual-LED flash. When the zoom in or zoom out to sound like the voice is in the zoom lens. But it just sounds.

3D camera
To use the 3D camera lens we need them by sliding the switch 2D into 3D, then the camera will immediately display in 3D. The best distance to take a picture or video is more than 1.5 meters from the object (not too close because the image / video quality produced will get shaded). In 3D mode the camera lens with autofocus can be done by placing your finger on the screen (can we focus on the edge or center).

What is certain to capture images with the 3D feature will be something different. Images look more lifelike, its dimension is also evident. Unfortunately camera resolution is only 2 MP, but it should be developed more in the future with a higher resolution.

3D games
In this 3D HTC Evo also provided 3D games, like Need For Speed Shift, The Sims 3 and Spiderman Ultimeat Total Mayhem. All three games can you play in 3D format (before you have to download it to complete). NFS Shift for the game we will be able to see the route that juts into the road and vehicle panels looming out, steer using touch-screen navigation to the left to right. Then for The Sims 3 we can feel the rooms where the characters walk around in and out. And for games we can feel the fight Spiderman Spiderman is surrounded by his opponent. 3D games are absolutely provide entertainment that is very exciting. Plus the sound quality that comes HTC Evo 3D SRS virtual surround sound when using headphones, produces a thundering sound.

Battery Life

How long the battery life? A common question is actually trivial, but usually the final determination for prospective buyers.

We test with the use of data full 3G connection such as email, phone in / out, SMS, FM radio, browsing, chat Gtalk, Twitter, Google + and Facebook, play 3D games, photos and video recording using 3D features result starting battery full 100 % to the remaining 15% in just 4.5 hours. It seems to battery life not very good results.
